In Bedroom #2 is a Laptop with high speed cable internet access (scroll down for more!)
The house has a Cisco Systems (Linksys) wireless router with "RangeBooster"[ Photo ], so assuming you bring your laptop with you and you have wireless capasity (scroll down!) you should be able to access the internet via your own laptop.
This is one of my laptops. It is the very cheapest laptop that Fry's Electronics sold ($450.00 in May of 2006). It came with a "AMD Mobile Sempron" processor. [ Photo ]. All I had to do was bring the laptop within range and the laptop operating sytem noticed a wireless signal and asked me if I wished to connect.... it was that easy. A laptop with an Intel "Centrino" processor (more expensive) should work at least as well. Even if you do not have one of these processors, electronics stores sell adaptors with USB cables that should allow you to use your own laptop at the house. DISCLAIMER: Just because I was able to do connect with this particular laptop, does not guarantee you will be able to connect with your laptop. If you can not connect with your laptop, I probably can not connect it either. And you will always have the desktop available if all else fails. WARNING: There are security issues involved. The desktop has a virus scanner and a Firewall. My eldest son advises me that when you connect via a wireless connection, the connection is much less "secure." I am guessing that it would not be a good idea to do any banking during your stay at our house.
