How much is a certain property worth?

Well, it is said that a property is worth what you can get someone to pay you for it. When a real estate agent does a "market analysis," she/he looks at recent sale prices of similar properties. By comparing the prices, location and characteristics of these properties she/he can gain insight into just how much a particular property "is worth." If you read the linked web pages below you will notice that the majority of the houses on the Ocean Blvd properties purchased since 1990, were "scraped" off the sand and replaced with a brand new house. This would mean that there is no value to the improvements (i.e. the existing house) on a property (built before 1990), since the first thing the new owner did was "scrape" the old house) Below is a list of the addresses of the houses that line the beach in Coronado. The list starts with a house that borders on the North Island Naval Air Station. The list ends with the "whole-ownership, limited-use condominiums" on the Hotel del Coronado property. Most of the houses have addresses on "Ocean Blvd," but not all. Some addresses have no connecting link and no information. This might be because I was unable to obtain sales information on this address (for example www.zillow.com has no information on the "Crown Manor" (1015 Ocean Blvd.)). Or it might have been that the house owner asked me to remove the information. By learning information about houses in the surrounding area, you can gain insight into the "worth" of the 311 Ocean Blvd House (or rather the dirt under it). Make no mistake, all the information below is in the public domain. No private information is listed. Some of the information may be incorrect. I try to site the reference of any "statement of fact." 90% of the recent information was obtained from www.zillow.com.
