In 1996, there was a single story house on the property now occupied by 1033 Ocean Blvd. and 1035 Ocean Blvd. The owners demolished the house. Then they "split" the resulting lot into two lots, both of them 40 ft by 165 ft. On March 31, 1997, the empty lot 1033 Ocean Blvd. sold for $1,092,000.00. Then on December 5, 1997, the empty lot on 1035 Ocean Blvd. sold for $1,190,000.00. The above picture is a photo of the designer home that was built by the new owners on their piece of real estate at 1035 Ocean Blvd.

The subterranean garage with car turntable at 1035 Ocean Blvd. (circ. 1998)

Of interest is that this house has a car "turntable" in its subterranean garage. This allows the occupant to drive in forwards, then after he/she is out of the car, flip a switch and the car turns 180 degrees. Then, the next morning, he/she can drive out forwards. Think how jealous their new neighbors were!
